COVID-19 - Fake News

25 May 2020

Beware of the spreading fake rumours about COVID-19; designed to provoke fear and panic, they are commonly found on social media's unverified posts and mistaken for reliable sources.

It is, therefore, crucial to learn how to identify fakes.

Try checking the URL of the source website: one that's real is probably reliable but one containing bad spelling, eg.".cam" or *.co.ul" is almost certainly fake. Visit Fake News - and how to spot it - BBC News

for more information on verification.
