Pride Month

23 June 2020

June is pride month, meaning for 30 days the LGBT+ community celebrates their different sexualities and identities. Pride month takes place in June to remember the Stonewall protests in 1969, which were the start of the LGBT+ rights movement.

This year, the usual pride parades have turned into 'virtual pride' with social media accounts spreading positivity across the community. Normally the community would take to the streets all over the world to celebrate, with world leaders and celebrities also taking part.
