Self-Love - Sanity not Vanity

Valentine’s day is here and many only have themselves today, and that’s okay. Self-love is a helpful ability to have, but it doesn't come to everyone automatically. To truly love yourself, you have to get to know yourself, just as if it were any other person.

It’s almost as if you were a random person that you are just beginning to get to know. You would need to spend time with them and assess their behaviour to truly understand them. It's the same with yourself: you can learn who you are and how you react in different circumstances. However, don’t feel like you have to be understanding and loving of yourself immediately. It comes with time, and may be a challenge or a piece of cake depending on the person.

Valuing, accepting, knowing, and truly loving yourself can have a profound positive impact on your mental health and wellbeing. During times like this, when you may often feel alone, it is especially important to get to know yourself, accept who you are, and embrace that person.
