When we, teenagers, started going back to school, a lot of us had started getting our first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine which is great news, and here’s why. First of all, the vaccines are effective, they can keep you from getting and spreading the virus. They can also keep you from getting seriously ill after being infected but most importantly, they protect people around you, especially people at increased risk of severe illness after being infected. After being doubly vaccinated, there is so much you can finally do. Most concerts and sports events in venues will probably require you to be fully vaccinated to be at full capacity once again. For most countries, you can travel without testing or quarantine if you are double vaxxed. If you are worried because COVID-19 vaccines were made so quickly, just think about the fact that they had to go through many clinical trials to be approved for public use. Even though you may be fully vaccinated, you could still be carrying the virus and therefore infecting others so you should still sanitize when you can and wear a mask. If you have had contact with someone who has been tested positive you should still stay home and be tested just in case. For now, not everyone has received their COVID-19 vaccines so you can still pass the virus onto them. So to summarize, COVID-19 vaccines are something you should seriously consider getting but you should still be careful and stay safe. But once we’re out of this situation, enjoy life maaaaaaaaaan!!!!!
