COVID-19 and the School - the Students' Perspective

29 January 2021

As COVID-19 cases rise steadily, along with the terror and concern that follows it, we asked students to give their opinions on the efficiency of COVID-19 school protocols.

Many students are scared, believing that it would be better for school to be temporarily closed until the curve of COVID-19 cases flattens again. Some don't understand why schools are being kept open despite things such as restaurants and clubs being shut down. There is a general feeling throughout the student population that they are not

informed enough on the COVID-19 situation and cases inside the school. This lack of information increases the stress that students experience about the pandemic.

On the bright side, however, almost all students believe that teachers enforce COVID-19 protocols very well and do their utmost to keep their classroom safe.
