COVID-19 Effects on Nature

COVID-19 has had major impacts on the economy and our health, but it has had positive aspects too.

Lower numbers of cars driven has drastically improved the environment. Their emissions, that increase levels of CO2 and other greenhouse gases, polluting the air and contributing to global warming, have decreased.

Water in Venice's canals becoming cleaner is a definite change; creatures within are now visible! Venice's mayor stated, "It is not due to improved water quality, but the decrease in boat traffic."

The fog is clearing, at least for the fish!
