Gingerbread House

Ingredients:
For the dough
250g unsalted butter
200g brown sugar
7tbsp golden syrup
600g plain flour
2tsp baking powder
4tsp ground ginger
For the decorations
200g flaked almonds
2 egg whites
500g icing sugar
125g mini chocolates
Method:

Melt the butter, sugar and syrup together in a pan
Mix the other ingredients in a bowl then add in the butter mixture
Combine the dough into a stiff mixture
Cut out the dough using the template on this website: Simple gingerbread house recipe | BBC Good Food
Bake at 180C for 12 minutes.
Stir the icing sugar and egg whites together to make a thick icing.
Spoon the icing into a piping bag and decorate the gingerbread house.
Leave to dry, then decorate the gingerbread house with the chocolate and the almonds!
