On May 9th, Spain’s nationwide State of Emergency expired, allowing a degree of normality to seep back into our everyday lives. This does not mean that all restrictions have been lifted - just the most significant ones such as quarantine and curfews.

Other restrictions, like masks and the closing or opening of restaurants and bars, are implemented by each regional government and are not affected by the State of Emergency.
May 9th also marks Victory Day, celebrating the end of WWII in 1945 and the collapse of Nazi Germany.
