Meeting David Akin

On the 4th of March, the LES Times team attended an online meeting with David Akin, the Chief Political Correspondent for Global News in Canada. David Akin is quite a high profile correspondent, having achieved multiple awards such as the “Gemini Award for Best Reportage” and the “National Newspaper Award for Politics”. He has 83.8k followers on his Twitter account @davidakin, one of whom happens to be Barack Obama.

Some of the members of our newspaper had a chance to ask him for advice on pursuing a career in journalism, as well as other personal questions, such as asking what inspires him to write. David Akin also recounted some very entertaining stories about his life and career.
