Prince Phillip

Prince Philip was born on June 10th 1921 on a dining table in a villa in Greece. Married to Queen Elizabeth II, he was the longest-serving consort in history. He met her when they were teenagers and after World War One he was granted permission to marry her. His hobbies included bird-watching and painting.

During his lifetime, Philip supported and funded numerous charities, notably founding the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), which is now the world’s largest conservation organisation.

He sadly passed away 2 months before his 100th birthday, leaving a "huge void" in the lives of the Queen and his family. Prince Philip has lived a long and extraordinary life and will be remembered by many.
