Year 7 - A Reflection on this Year

The transition to Senior School has been a big change for the Year 7’s, especially with COVID-19.

Many students I spoke with feel that moving between classes was the most noteworthy change, but, after they had become accustomed to it, having new teachers and different peers was very exciting. Other students thought that the workload increased significantly and that exams had become more difficult and important. One student explained that "The final preparation has been very stressful and expectations are very high. It is very different from Junior." However, all of the Year 7s I interviewed consider that overall, their first year in Senior school was a fantastic experience; an opportunity to learn and take on more responsibility.
